BIO

Jeanne Marlier is a pre-doctoral researcher at the University of Vienna within the DEPART project (https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/945501). Previously, she studied political science at the University of Montreal, where she wrote a thesis on radical right politics and gender. Her research interests include electoral behavior, accountability, political elites, political careers and gender. In her PhD project, Jeanneexamines how politicians' biographical backgrounds - in particular the extent to which their careers are embedded in political parties - affect political accountability, with a focus on the European context.
