Bio
Samet KAYAR is a PhD candidate and researcher in Political Science and Administration at the Doctoral College of the University of Wrocław, Faculty of Social Sciences. He also serves as a university lecturer, teaching the undergraduate course "Contemporary Political Systems" in English. His primary academic research focuses on comparative politics, urban governance, and democratic innovations, with a specific comparative focus on metropolitan cities such as Istanbul, Ankara, Warsaw, and Budapest. Currently, he is pursuing a visiting research fellowship at the Centre d'Etude de la Vie Politique (CEVIPOL), Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB), focusing on participatory urban governance in the Turkish context. He has authored peer-reviewed publications in journals such as the Journal of Contemporary Central and Eastern Europe and the Silesius Review, and actively presents his research at international conferences including the European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR).
