Bio
Luiza Amelotti is a Political Science professional with a Ph.D. from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE, 2024), including a visiting research period at the University of Oxford (2023). Specializing in quantitative text analysis, her doctoral research focused on the impact of ideology on the speeches of leaders from five countries. She also holds a Master's (2019) and a Bachelor's (2017) degree in Political Science with an emphasis on International Relations, both from UFPE. Her master's dissertation applied regression analysis to estimate the effect of ideology on foreign trade, UN General Assembly votes, and the formulation of bilateral treaties. She is a member of the Center for Comparative Politics and International Relations Studies (NEPI/UFPE). She has also provided methodological consulting services for a project on sustainable development in Latin America.

Luiza Vilela Amelotti's research expertise lies in comparative international politics, with a focus on analyzing the influence of ideology on countries' foreign policy stances and actions. Her past and ongoing projects have explored the impact of leaders' ideology on their speeches at the UN General Assembly, the relationship between the executive and legislative branches in foreign policy formulation, and the dynamics of regional integration processes. She has also studied the connection between socioeconomic and political arrangements and the Sustainable Development Goals in Latin America.
