Bio
Justine Channac is a doctoral student in European Law and Political Science at UCLouvain Saint-Louis Brussels (CIRC & IEE) and at the Université libre de Bruxelles (CEVIPOL & IEE). Her PhD research focuses on the protection of democracies within the European Union and aims to identify, through an in-depth and cross-cutting stuy of the EU legal framework, the legal requirements stemming from the democratic value that Member States are required to respect.
Her academic background is characterised by its interdisciplinary nature. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social and Political Sciences from PSL University and a double Master’s degree in European Studies and International Relations from UCLouvain and Sciences Po Strasbourg. She then completed a LL.M. in European Law at the ULB, during which she began her research on the democratic value and its protection.
