My research focuses on the transformations of contemporary political regimes, with a particular emphasis on the crisis of democratic regimes, transitions toward authoritarianism, and political and social resistance to authoritarianism. I am currently leading an ARC research project titled RESEAUT, 'Defending Democracy: Resistance Strategies Against Autocratization Attempts,' which aims to deepen our understanding of the most effective strategies to counter autocratization processes.
