Bio

Samir El Khanza is currently a Marie Skłodowska Curie Doctoral Fellow at the Université libre de Bruxelles, LUISS University and the Université Laval within the Horizon Europe GEM-DIAMOND project (Globalisation, Europe, and Multilateralism - Democratic Institutions, the rise of Alternative Models and mounting Normative Dissensus).

Under the guidance of Nathalie Brack (ULB), Cristina Fasone (LUISS), and Richard Ouellet (ULaval), Samir's doctoral thesis delves into the pivotal role of domestic parliaments in influencing the European Union's effectiveness in concluding international trade agreements. His primary areas of scholarly focus encompass International and Comparative Law, as well as European Studies.

Samir holds a Master degree in European Studies, specializing in European policy, awarded by the Institute of European Studies of the ULB, while his academic journey began with a Bachelor Political Science from ULB. Before embarking on his doctoral journey, he worked as financial product developer in Luxembourg.
